The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.

In order to be married at St. Jude The Apostle Church:
- Both the bride and groom must be free to marry in the Church. This means either not have been previously married, or having a valid annulment in the Church. We cannot schedule a wedding if an annulment is in progress.
- The couple must meet all Diocesan and Parish requirements. (Paperwork, licensing, marriage preparation, etc.)
- At least one of the couple must be a registered parishioner, or have an immediate family member that is.
